The Travel Chapter is proud to have been declared the winner of ‘Digital Marketing Campaign of the Year’ for Canine Critics 2019 at the Travolution Awards 2020.
Canine Critics 2019 was a campaign to promote The Travel Chapter’s leading dog-friendly accommodation provider, Canine Cottages, and involved recruiting ten top dogs from over 50,000 applicants to be roving reporters, reviewing Canine Cottages’ dog-friendly properties across the UK.
The Travolution Awards 2020 recognised the most innovative and exciting work in digital travel at its (virtual) awards ceremony. There was incredibly tough competition at this year’s event with campaigns from Ocean Florida, Costa Rica Tourism Board, Crowd and MagicBreaks also shortlisted for the award.
The judging panel for the category, made up of a committee of online travel industry experts, were looking for “an integrated campaign that combined more than one or all of the following channels: online display, search engine marketing, influencer marketing, social, mobile, text, retargeting, content and voice”. The team at The Travel Chapter are delighted to be the chosen winners.
Matt Brayley, Marketing Director at The Travel Chapter, said: “We were up against some great companies so to have been shortlisted was a fantastic achievement in itself, and to win was, of course, even better.
“Canine Critics is a real collective effort across the Marketing and Technology teams and this is a credit to the hard work of everyone involved. We’ve been thrilled by the popularity of the campaign, which goes from strength to strength, and have just announced the winners of Canine Critics 2020, with recruitment taking place in September and October. It’s an exciting time for Canine Cottages and 2021 is set to be stronger than ever.”
Pre-registration for Canine Critics 2021 is open as Canine Cottages seeks to recruit even more dogs to join the team. Find out more here.
