About us

Hi!

We're Travel Chapter, a market leader in self-catering holidays.

Having evolved from a small South West holiday letting agency to a UK network of travel brands, we pride ourselves on delivering the very best service to our customers and property owners alike.

Along the way, we’ve nurtured a caring and collaborative culture that drives us forward and keeps our team inspired and motivated every day.

We are passionate about what we do and we like to have fun whilst doing it. We take a common-sense approach to getting things done. We get things wrong at times and that’s ok! We learn from it and adapt, remembering to stay curious and never stop evolving.

Your next chapter

We know that the perfect candidate who ticks every box doesn’t exist, so if you’re excited by the role and can do most of the below – please get in touch. You could be exactly what we need!

Ideally, we’re looking for:

  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Organised with excellent time management
  • Ability to record data, audit properties and complete meter readings
  • Customer focus
  • A problem solver who can work on their own initiative
  • Ability to work weekends as necessary, and when required at short notice
  • Driving Licence or ability to travel to properties to clean
  • Meticulous, motivated and quick thinking

What's in it for you

Apart from joining a rapidly growing company with a great culture and a big focus on employee development, the great news is we also offer competitive salaries and benefits which we feel look after our team well. These include:

  • 25 days’ paid holidays plus bank holidays (pro rata)
  • A day off for your or a loved one’s birthday
  • £500 paid towards a holiday of your choice
  • A paid day to volunteer with a charity of your choice

  • Social clubs - whether you’re into pets, fitness, gardening, sustainability or nutrition, there's something for everyone
  • Great social events - we are well known for our Christmas parties!

Diversity is key to our success, and we work hard to make sure we’re inclusive. Let us know if you need any adjustments made to the application or selection process so you can do your best. We’ll be happy to help.

What will I be doing?

Representing Sally's Cottages as one of our housekeepers, you will play a key role in providing a high-quality, first-class guest experience at out cottages throughout the Lake District. You’ll provide a 5-star cleaning service across our properties, keeping an eye out for and reporting damages, maintenance and health and safety issues.

You will need to hold a driving license and have your own transport (travel is paid). We have the ability to be flexible with the hours that you work per week but do require you to be available to work at least one main changeover day, which is Friday or Saturday between 10am-5pm (ideally both!). Additional work may also be available on Monday changeovers and ad hoc work on other non-changeover days to help with deep cleans. We may be able to offer both permanent and temporary positions

We would love to hear from you if you think you could fit the bill. Whilst experience is preferred, we can provide full training for the right candidate.

As this role is field based, we would be particularly interested in hearing from people within commutable distance of these areas: Keswick, Penrith, Eskdale.
