We are looking for a Content Manager, Writer & Researcher within The Travel Chapter Marketing team.

Working with, and taking direction from, the Content Lead/Editor and other senior content creators, you will be responsible for managing a small team of content writers and researchers to ensure that all materials produced by them are of an impeccable standard.  

A further key role will be to effectively manage and organise our freelance network – a team of writers who are responsible for the creation and submission of a variety of written copy, most notably our property descriptions. This will involve a high level of organisation to ensure that work is delegated effectively.

You will ensure that both the Content team and freelancers adhere to the brand values, messaging and tone of voice guidelines which have been set out for each brand. Alongside this, you will proof, edit and restructure where necessary before providing effective feedback to team members. You will also offer help and support to the wider Marketing team – this may also take the form of proofing and shaping content to be used across a variety of platforms.

Skills and Experience Required:

Essential

  • Previous experience in a line management role
  • Outstanding proofreading skills with fine attention to detail and an extremely high level of accuracy
  • Exceptional standard of written and spoken English
  • Ability to assimilate and communicate in a wide variety of tones of voice and writing styles to suit our various brands and audiences
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional time management: able to work to rigid deadlines and schedule deadlines for others
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • A basic understanding of Adobe photoshop
  • Previous experience using Content Management Systems
  • Motivated and proactive approach to work
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Able to give constructive feedback to colleagues and provide clear goals for progression

Desirable

  • Marketing background or relevant transferable skills
  • Previous project managment experience
  • Understanding of SEO best practice
What will you be doing?

Main Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day support and management of a team of content writers in relation to all aspects of the business
  • Proofing, editing and restructuring of content from across the business to ensure it adheres to standards of best practice
  • Consistent monitoring of all content output
  • Alongside the Studio Manager you will be delegating workflow, scheduling deadlines and ensuring the team runs smoothly
  • Organising and prioritising daily tasks, using workflow tools such as Asana
  • Management and administration of the freelancer network
  • The writing and production of high-quality content and marketing materials to support all aspects of the business
  • Using analysis tools to monitor the performance of content created by you and the team
