As part of the marketing team you’ll be joining a department recently short-listed for the Best In House Marketing Team at the Travel Marketing Awards. Combining the opportunity to work or a dynamic, forward thinking business whilst also enjoying the fantastic North Devon location.

As Senior Marketing Executive you will be responsible for the delivery of the marketing strategy across several brands within the Travel Chapter group, specifically The Big Domain and Wedding Venues amongst other brands.

You will take responsibility for the delivery of initiatives as outlined by the Senior Marketing Team that will grow the brands by driving organic, social, email and direct traffic, as well as taking consideration of partnerships that could benefit your brands and the wider group.

You will work with wider expertise across the team to ensure your plan follows best practice across all marketing disciplines.  

You will manage the campaign plan for your brands, ensuring activity is completed on time and on budget and produce reports to demonstrate brand performance at the relevant intervals.

We are looking for

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

Essential

  • A knowledge of digital marketing activities
  • An interest in travel marketing
  • A high work ethic with a keen interest in learning new things and adapting to the ever-changing digital marketing environment
  • An understanding of KPIs and an ability to translate those in to day to day working practices

Desirable

  • 2 years marketing experience
  • Client-side marketing experience in a travel marketing business
  • Detailed knowledge of SEO, Content Marketing, Social Media, Email marketing, Partnerships, PR, Campaign and Project Management.  
  • Proven track record of delivering marketing projects and
  • Good understanding of digital marketing KPIs
What will you be doing?

Main Responsibilities:

  • Content Marketing: Working with the Head of Content and team you will produce a content marketing campaign plan relevant to your brands, delivering timely and relevant content to the brands audience on a regular basis.
  • SEO: Working with the Head of SEO and team you will be responsible for building high authority links through a number of different means in order to help with the overall growth of organic traffic.
  • PR: You will work with the wider team to recognise PR opportunities for your brand, connecting with relevant journalists, bloggers and others in order to grow the brand awareness of each of your brands.
  • Social Media: You will be responsible for posting and interacting with customers on social media, fulfilling a strategic plan as outlined by the Social Media Manager and Head of SEO.
  • Email: You will produce marketing emails for your brands as part of your overall marketing campaign plan. You will work the eCRM team to ensure the emails follow best practice guidelines from across the group.  
  • Partners: Working with the Customer Marketing team you will identify relevant partners for your brand and build brand partnerships across different verticals.
  • Campaign Planning and Management: You will be responsible for building and maintaining the campaign plan for your brand  
  • Working with wider stakeholders: You will learn best practice from relevant channel managers across the group, applying this to your plan in order to ensure you deliver against the relevant KPIs.
  • Other Marketing Initiatives: You will help identify other marketing opportunities and discuss these with the relevant stakeholders in order to help improve the overall performance metrics of the Travel Chapter Group.
  • Producing KPI reports: You will produce a monthly KPI report for your brands, feeding this in to the relevant members of the Senior Marketing Team in order to recognise opportunities for growth.
  • Take on other tasks as required of you as and when necessary.
