As a Data Developer you will be responsible for the surfacing of business data to facilitate the work of the growing Business Performance team amongst other users of data. Other responsibilities include building and maintaining data models. You will also be on hand to help with other projects that come into the Systems & Data team. 


We are looking for

Knowledge, skills and experience required:


Commercial experience of:

  • Power BI
  • Data Modelling
  • HTML5 and CSS with LESS/SASS
  • .NET C#/VB.NET
  • Javascript / JQuery
  • Agile development


Some experience/knowledge of:

  • MySQL
  • SQL Server Integration Services
  • SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Documentation writing
  • Understanding of testing strategies.

The successful candidate must be able to attend our Head Office in Bideford for the initial induction period and ongoing frequent visits to Head Office thereafter. 

What will you be doing?

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Project Managers and other members of the delivery teams to ensure the timely completion of projects
  • Work with Senior members of the team to improve our development tools, processes, technology stack, application performance and stability
  • Implement technical projects to facilitate business goals
  • Provide and support code reviews to improve the quality of developments released
  • Assist in troubleshooting production issues to resolution ensuring that measures are put in place where possible to stop reoccurrence
  • Document new developments and update existing documentation within confluence
  • Provide out of hours support as required in line with the organisation SLAs.
