The Role

We are looking for an engaging and positive Customer Sales Advisor to join our busy Customer Sales Team, and you should be able to work from either your home or Head Office in Bideford.

The main purpose of this role is to be first point of contact for our customers who are making enquiries about booking a holiday with us. Therefore, you will need excellent interpersonal skills to be successful within this role.

You will be passionate and professional, an excellent listener and an articulate communicator.

Using your strong sales skills, you’ll have the desire, drive and commitment to exceed our customer’s expectations and deliver an exceptional experience. You will make it easy for them to say yes and for them to recommend us to others.

You will need to use your negotiation skills to meet customers’ needs and close the sale, while putting the customer first and selling in a regulated environment. You will also need to be motivated, positive and proactively contribute to providing quality service to our customers.

You will be expected to be flexible in your approach and adaptable to support customers on a range of communication platforms including telephone, email and live chat. You must be able to convey clear concise messages across all communication channels used.

You will also be required to manage your time effectively to ensure SLAs and KPIs are achieved. You will be responsible for accurately recording customer information and adhering to our procedures. You must be adept at using different IT platforms.

 

We are looking for
  • Previous call center experience essential.
  • Strong telephone experience and an ability to speak confidently with customers.
  • Excellent written communication skills, using emails, live chat and other communication platforms in a business environment.
  • Ability to be assertive by adapting the sales approach depending on the client.
  • Good interpersonal and team-based skills.
  • Experience of working within the travel and leisure industry preferable.
  • Experience in a sale-based environment.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to meet SLAs and KPIs, with proven experience.

Hours of work:

  • 7 days a week operation offering various hours
  • Hours will range between 8am – 10pm and you should be available to work within these times.
What will you be doing?

Main Responsibilities:

  • Skillfully guide and assist customers in finding their perfect holiday cottage. *Full training is provided*
  • Effectively sell holidays and convert leads.
  • Deliver a best in class customer experience in line with Travel Chapter’s core values, policies and processes.
  • Responding professionally and in a timely manner to contacts using a range of channels including phone, email, live chat and social media.
  • Identify customer’s needs, clarify information, research every issue and provide solutions and/or alternatives.
  • Negotiate with clients and owners on the price of holidays when required.
  • Make holiday bookings using our in-house systems.
  • Stay up to date with all new processes and acquisitions.
  • Keep comprehensive records of conversations in our call center database.
  • Meet personal/team KPIs.
  • Flexibility to perform other contact center duties as and when required to ensure the smooth running of the organisation and to meet the needs of the business.
