Gifting holidays to people and families impacted by cancer

We feel very passionately about many things here at Travel Chapter. Gifting holidays to families and individuals who are deserving but who are facing hardships is a great example. This is why we’re proud to announce that we’ve partnered with ‘Something To Look Forward To’, a charity which enables our homeowners to gift holidays at their properties to families whose lives have been impacted by a cancer diagnosis.

‘Something To Look Forward To’ is a charity that allows people with cancer and their families to access a variety of kindly donated gifts and experiences. For families navigating life around a cancer diagnosis, small treats such as short breaks, meals out, or activities with the family are something to look forward to. It helps them cope with the impact of hospital visits, treatments and the emotional and physical demands of the illness.

Stays at holiday cottages are one of their most sought-after gifts. As a holiday letting agency, we already help to create special memories for guests every day, and by offering respite breaks for families impacted by cancer, we’re helping them to make cherished memories, feel supported, and spend time together outside of the home and away from hospital appointments.

Francesca Abery, Managing Director of ‘Something To Look Forward To’, said, ‘When you're living with cancer, having something to look forward to can make all the difference. A break away gives families the chance to pause, reconnect, make precious memories together and escape the reality of treatment, appointments and uncertainty.

‘Sadly, the financial impact of cancer means experiences like this are often out of reach. That's why our partnership with Travel Chapter is so important. By helping us reach holiday homeowners across the UK, we're able to create more opportunities for donated stays that provide hope, respite and precious time together. We're incredibly grateful to the Travel Chapter team for helping us create life-changing moments for the people we support.’
