Travel Chapter opens new Norfolk office
This week, we opened the doors of our new Norwich office, Lancaster House.
We started welcoming colleagues to the new building on Tuesday, 12 March - with over 65 of our #TeamTCcolleagues coming together to complete their office inductions and celebrate finally being able to work together in one modern, open-plan space.
Lancaster House is situated 3 miles outside Norwich city centre and is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including:
- Light and airy open-plan collaborative workspaces
- Well-equipped meeting rooms
- Casual/break-out areas for ad-hoc meetings
- Fully equipped kitchen/dining areas
- Dedicated welfare spaces
- Purpose-built training rooms
- Super-fast Wi-Fi connectivity
- Solar panels
- Electric vehicle charging points
- Energy-saving LED timed lighting
Project Manager and Head of Facilities, Mike Newby MBE, said: "This has been a great project to develop and deliver. One of the core parts of the brief was to make the new offices a space which would be welcoming and allow teams and individuals across all departments to collaborate more easily. On day one, it was clear that Lancaster House had delivered on this aim, with staff interaction increasing significantly, especially during the opening-day office tours - or maybe the buzz was from a sugar overload thanks to the Travel Chapter 'pick and mix' station in reception.”
The team were joined on opening day by CEO Jayne McClure and Chief People Officer Vicki Winner - who travelled from Devon to share the exciting day with their Norfolk colleagues.
Jayne said: "This new office at Lancaster House is a comfortable and inspiring workplace which replaces Bank House in Reepham as our core base in Norfolk. As we continue to deliver our services to homeowners across Norfolk and the wider area, Lancaster House is a brilliant location for a large number of our colleagues to develop and grow as part of Travel Chapter. I’m excited that Lancaster House will be an exciting new chapter for all of the Norfolk team".
Vicki added: "It is exciting to be able to offer our Norfolk colleagues a fresh and modern workspace that will help foster creativity, collaboration and productivity. We believe that this new space will not only enhance our existing team's wellbeing, but also help us attract and retain top talent in the Norwich area, so we are excited to see this come to fruition.”
Lancaster House will replace Travel Chapter's current office spaces in Reepham, to become the main Travel Chapter office in the Norfolk area.
